“The primary characteristic of any fluid system is its ability to keep transforming itself.”  ~ Emilie Conrad,
founder of Continuum Movement

What does it mean to be truly sustainable? How do we nourish our systems and create resiliency?

Join us for a Continuum weekend exploring the fundamental nature of health, happiness and connection through breath/sound/movement.

We voyage through our own body as ecosystem:

The architectural structure of bones.

The peaks and valleys of soft tissues.

The verdant wetlands of lymph.

The rivers coursing through the circulatory system…

1) As we connect with our own inner nature and the outer world of Mother Earth, we find the source of true sustainability and resiliency.

2) The breath/sound/voice and movement play of Continuum offers us an opportunity to go beyond the everyday and enter a state of deep listening, curiosity and openness.

3)  Our fluid intelligence awakens and pulses within. We move with the rhythms of our ancient primordial birthright.

4)  BENEFITS INCLUDE: Stress Reduction ~ Greater Vitality ~ Better Sleep ~ Increased Core Strength ~ Flexible Power to Move ~ Spacious Sense of Well-Being ~ Enhanced Creativity ~ Sense of Play!
“The closest natural area to you is the wild, naturally intelligent biological community within you.” ~  Michael J. Cohen

Alchemy Spinning™ is a powerful and yet accessible whirling practice at the intersection of mindfulness and movement, that induces a stateof expanded consciousness
This Journey to the Core Alchemy Spinning™ workshop will take us on a spiral journey towards the core of our being, where we can discover and unleash our own power to heal ourselves, our relationships, and the world.
In our core we will connect with Fundamental Goodness, self-confidence, empathy and compassion, and we will explore how to take and project these core treasures back in an outward spiral towards an illuminated society for the benefit of all beings.
We will take a deep dive into the Alchemy Spinning™ practice, using a combination of dance (from different dance modalities,) movement, breathwork, and contemplative art making techniques, as well as teachings and inner technologies adapted from the Sufi dervishes and Shambhala Buddhism.
We will learn how to connect with our vertical axis, which connects Heaven and Earth through our bodies along our spine; and with our horizontal axis –which crosses our heart and projects along our arms in order to allow our core being to manifest in this world.
Together we will practice how to root ourselves in the Earth, how to make energy flow along our spine, and how to balance our brain hemispheres.
Using rhythm and repetition, contraction and expansion, we will delve into the fundamentals of spiral movement, while connecting these inner spirals within with the larger spiral movements of our planet, our solar system, our galaxy, and beyond.
At different times we will create open spaces for group whirling, as well as open spaces for integration and sharing.AlchemySpinningGroup1

Womb Wisdom: Power of Shakti Weekend with Anaelle Garcia

WOMB WISDOM: Power of Shakti

Weekend with Anaelle Garcia

FRIDAY July 15,   7-9pm
SAT/SUN July 16 + 17,   9am -5pm

12243518_10208277315514146_8475941687195289598_n

Are you ready to fully embody the truth of who you are? To embody the soulful, sensual, loving, Shakti filled woman or man that is your birthright? If so, you are invited to take a deeply soulful, enlivening, loving journey into the 18 pathways of the Shakti Circuit and experience the 7 gates or magnetic pathways that lead into your sacred womb/hara space.
(SCROLL DOWN FOR REGISTRATION DETAILS and TESTIMONIALS from Past Participants after this course description)

The 7 gates of the Grail were taught by Mary Magdalene and the Priestesses of Isis for thousands of years. The 18 pathways are based on multiple forms of Tantra yoga found in the Indian, Tibetan and Hebrew sacred traditions.

Originally part of one teaching before they were separated piece by piece. Over a 13 year period, journeys to 60 countries, hundreds of sacred sites, initiations by teachers known and those choosing to remain unknown, Padma Aon received the wisdom of multiple lineages and brought the pieces back together so that we are now able to ignite the Shakti circuit.

This course offers you the opportunity to release deeply held wounds, to embody more of your soul, to unify the power of your sexual creative energy with Divine Love, to bring your inner feminine and masculine energies into balance. An awakened civilization is founded on harmonious, soulful relationships between man, woman and the Divine.

Awakening Shakti, the Divine Feminine, the vital flow of living love and creative life force will bring you immense feelings of self love, joy, passion and gratitude for feeling so alive inside your sacred body.

CindyAnaeleGarciaWombWisdomABOUT ANAELLE GARCIA:
A little about me and my journey of Awakening Shakti…

I currently serve humanity as a Womb Wisdom and Power of Shakti Facilitator. I also serve as a licensed marriage family therapist. I have a unique gift of extrasensory perception that allows me to facilitate deep healing and release of trauma. A few modalities I have been trained in are; EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy and Infant Parent Mental Health.

A few years ago I was married, working on a doctoral degree, working to provide security for myself and my family, but found myself deeply dissatisfied with the life I had created. I was born with the gift of being able to see energy, receive premonitions and completely feel people empathically. I felt like I walked in two worlds, the mundane and the spiritual world. One day my two worlds collided and I had a life changing experience that led me to an amazing teacher, Padma Aon and his teachings of Womb Wisdom and Power of Shakti.

READ THESE STELLAR RESPONSES FROM PAST Womb Wisdom Weekend PARTICIPANTS:

“I took the Power of Shakti workshop twice, and each time I want deeper into feeling and releasing more deeply my wounds of separation from source. Anaelle Garcia is a gifted intuitive and womb/hara healer who has the ability to create a safe Sacred space for a deep connection to Self, Source and to dive into healing journey of soul Remembrance.I am so grateful to you Cindy for the Divine love and unconditional compassion that you embody.
This workshop had opened the way me to connect with my Divine Feminine essence in mind, body and Soul..
-Carla Silva

“Have you ever felt so much gratitude pouring in that you were on the floor in tears because it was so overwhelming? I fell out of my Womb and Shakti practices and reset myself last weekend. Since then miracle after miracle has happened that make me wonder why I ever gave it up? It’s like this physical manifestation of life has nothing – there is absolutely no earthly/human weight that can trump the miracles that are the Divine. I’m so sorry for walking away – though there were many realizations in that as well; thank you for the reminders… Thank you Thank you Thank you so much to my amazing parents, my mom and dad, I didn’t realize how much you really care and how generous you really are. I am so sorry for feeling otherwise. Thank you my Divine Mother Father for never leaving my side and for helping me realize that serving You is all there is.”
Diana Trojanowski

“Just came out of a weekend of WOW. The Power of Shakti workshop facilitated by Cindy Anaelle Garcia was life changing. As many of you know, I’m trained as a therapist, participate in my own therapy, completed tantra teacher training, and have traveled many spiritual journeys. And this work, this dive into the Divine Feminine, blew me wide open in a way nothing else has.
Im in such gratitude for Cindy’s wisdom and heart and dedication to serve humanity.
To my men and women friends, this is a gift to give yourself that will change your life.” ~ Jacquelene

“i have always considered myself a servant to the Goddess. But this was just something I spoke about, and it was me mostly serving the women to express their Goddess self. Never before had I been in presence of so many incredible Goddesses in their kindness, beauty, magnificence, wisdom, humility, creativity and vulnerability.

Being a man who has gone thru so much in life has created an armouring on my heart. At first when going thru this exercise, I could just feel my heart being pressed upon, but this incredible Goddess actually melted my heart armour in a way that I could feel pain. My own pain. My granite heart gave way to become softer thanks to the power, presence, kindness, genuine love and creativity of the Goddess.

I have always said the highest power is vulnerability. And vulnerability is the ability to feel everything But again for me this has been less than tangible, and more theoretical.

During this incredible workshop with the sweet tender and powerful presence of Cindy I actually started feeling! I mean this is huge for me. I have done so much work in so many workshops, and I really never felt much. Its like my armouring, and my trauma was way too much for me to ever actually feel anything no matter how much work I have done, and continued to do.

As a man I so highly highly highly highly recommend this work to everybody especially men. We so desperately need this work, the planet needs us to do this work. if you want to get more info I recommend you to go tohttp://diaryofawoman.com/ to check it out.

I attended this workshop out of curiosity and my love for my friend, but now after the 2 days. I feel so incredibly blessed to have made this decision. I wholeheartedly believe I have found my new path, my new tribe and my new calling. Such a glorious space to be of service to the Goddess ”
~Hamid

“The Power of Shakti workshop shifted me in profound ways that I never expected. Having taken countless workshops and moving along my spiritual path for the past 25 years, I felt that I had hit an impasse in my growth. One weekend at the Power of Shakti brought me to a whole new level of presence, connection, joy, inner clarity and a deepened commitment to my work as soul alignment healer. I have been waking up each morning singing since that event! This tells me that I’ve found my center with God — yay!! I can’t wait for the next level of training with Cindy Anaelle Garcia!! She is a spiritual warrior who embraces the deep feminine with a grace and ease that is deeply inspiring. Thank you, Cindy and all of your teachers!”
-Dr. Ginger Mills

“I attended Cindy’s Power of Shakti workshop in Half Moon Bay. All I can say is WOW. It was life changing. Cindy created such a beautiful, safe place for me and other attendees to learn and awaken our feminine power. I would recommend her workshop to both women and men to connect to the Divine Feminine. Such a powerful force. And Cindy is a fantastic teacher! Thank you so much Cindy!
-Tammy”

MORE FROM ANAELLE’s PERSONAL STORY:

For the last two years, I have been on a profoundly transformative journey of deeply feeling, revealing, releasing and remembering the truth of who I AM, as a woman, mother, daughter, lover, friend and as a soul embodying love, wisdom and power here on earth. I was numb and not truly alive before this amazing journey into my womb and Shakti. I was in a slumber, acting and behaving according to a set of beliefs that were not true to my soul. I operated from a place of fear, parental programming and what was polite, acceptable and politically correct.

I was asked to surrender and take self responsibility for my wounds and projections. This was not always an easy or graceful process. As I enlivened the Shakti Circuit and journeyed through the 7 gates into my womb, I began to transform the dense blanket of beliefs and patterns, transmute my deepest wounds and release stifled Shakti to reveal the powerful, loving, truth of my soul and my sacred gifts. I discovered through my own embodiment, the true creative, loving power of Shakti, the feminine flow of creative life force that enlivens me. I learned to honor myself as a soulful, sexual, Shakti filled woman grounded in my true center of power, my womb.

As I reconnected to my body, my natural rhythms, to Gaia, to God and allowed Shakti to flow freely through me, I dissolved the attachment I had about who I should be and freed myself from a self imposed prison and began living the truth of who I AM. I am still unveiling deeper truths and will spend the rest of my living life embodying more of my soul, honoring these sacred teachings and the Shakti that flows through me.

Shakti is a deeply transformative power that is greatly needed on the planet right NOW and I am committed heart and soul to facilitating the awakening of every man and woman that chooses to embody the truth of who they are and live a juicy, passionate, loving, soulfully embodied life! Shakti is the vital flow of living love and it is time for us to reclaim this, to fully embody this and live our soul’s fullest potential! It is our birthright to fully embody and express Shakti and it is time to WAKE UP!

I have been masterfully trained as a Womb Wisdom and Power of Shakti Facilitatior by Padma Aon – Womb Wisdom and supported by my amazing soulfully embodied Sisters and now it is my turn and my honor to serve your Soul and I do this with immense love, joy, compassion and gratitude.

Momo on Tour 2015 ~ An Embodied Adventure with the Landscape

Posted by on 12:44 am in Butoh Blog, momobutoh dance company | 4 comments

In 2015, I toured, adventured and danced in more diverse global locations than ever before, given a similar time frame. The pace, variety and distances have been both intense and fulfilling while my experience has been more relaxed and open than ever as well.  Upon returning home to Butopia, I find myself diving deeper still into THIS ground and my own inner being as well…holding all the shifting in foreground within a vast silence.

For those who want to see, hear, know a bit more about my body + soul voyaging these past 10 moons I offer a simple image gallery with a few words about my outer experiences that hopefully also illustrate some of the inner ones as well.  Below is a series of slideshows from various chapters… Just hover your curser over the image to advance or retreat to next photo.

FEB-MARCH Washington State dances… moved from igniting spring with the bonfire of Candlemas to the dancing light on shores of Whidbey Island into the gorge-ous valleys of Hell’s Canyon and Palouse Falls in SE Washington.

APRIL/MAY- Next I voyaged south to Costa Rica to teach Butoh and be Performance Director and Gene Keys consultant for Divine Playground for a month. It was an unforgettable, beautiful, challenging and wild immersion in a group of passionate creative co-hearts.

JUNE ~ Touched back in so briefly to Butopia to be with family visiting from afar. Then, off again for this most refined spiritual and embodied Summer Solstice voyage to Cortes Island, BC for the Seven Sacred Seals Retreat with Gene Keys author Richard Rudd. Most amazing was to at last meet face to face, aura to aura the loving supportive Gene Keys Voyagers community we’d been hosting and communicating with for so long virtually. Finally we were REAL people in a REAL place … it was SO fulfilling, life affirming and powerful.

JULY AUGUST SEPT… Passed graciously and mostly in devotion to the NatureMoves Essential Embodied Arts Training with Solo and Group Site-specific Scores in the Colorado Rocky Mountains followed by Green River Canyon WilderDance trip near Moab, UT. Here are some highlight images from these dances on the LAND:

AUGUST was a stellar 3rd annual Dance Camp Northwest – a most delightful landscape and celebratory community for free form collaborative embodied arts. All photos in this gallery are by the amazing multi-artful Jens Wazel. Click here for the full Jenz DCNW 2015 Slideshow .

January 7th – 10th, 2016 –  Mini & Full Workshops with New Energy Creator Lauren Hutton
OPENING THE DOOR TO THE NEW ENERGIES OF 2016
LH8 los res EXPAND. STEP INTO YOUR CONSCIOUS CREATIVITY. CELEBRATE EVERYTHING!

Saturday January 9, 2016

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

For many awakened souls, 2016 is energetically looming large and holds the promise of an entire new way of being. The old ways and patterns that lost their luster months or even years ago are thankfully giving way to the New Energy we can see, feel and know is on the horizon. For those who have been awake and witnessing the world around them, the process has likely been overwhelming. Yet with the arrival of the New Energy and its expanded consciousness, we’re beginning to catch a glimpse of the stretch the lies before us – a call to expand beyond the limits of the human and into the MASTER version of ourselves we were always meant to be.

Lauren invites those ready to answer the call, to open the door and return to their sovereign nature by attending this daylong workshop. Lauren will provide an overview of the New Energy, its concepts and facilitate a guided imagery practice, also called Inner Gazing, which will allow participants to integrate the New Energy and create a new method of operation for the year ahead. You will leave the workshop with a recording and materials that will continue to guide your daily stabilization and new creations.

Lauren also is available for 6 private mastery sessions with workshop participants on Sunday Jan 10th to deeply integrate and super charge your unique self-realization process. $50

If a full day immersion is not for you at this time, you can join Lauren for her

The Embodied Voice and Singing Shaman Retreat with Christa Ray ~ Oct 2-4, 2015

Posted by on 11:11 pm in momobutoh dance company | 0 comments

A weekend training exploring a path to embodied Presence through excavating the full expanse of the human voice.

OCTOBER 2-4, 2015

DISCOVER…how to sing songs and use vocal sounding as vehicles for bringing forth and integrating hidden parts of yourself and your soul

ChristaEchoArms…LEARN….A singing method based on sensing your body, sourcing somatic and archetypal images, and cultivating trust in the raw impulses that allow you to move authentic and powerful energy through your voice.

..EXPLORE….Exercises to vastly expand the range, volume, power and qualities of your voice.

…TRANSFORM …fear of freely expressing yourself through compassionate permission and the spirit of experimentation.

…AWAKEN…the archetypal singing shaman within you capable of singing songs to bring nature, community and self into balance and health.

This weekend workshop explores Voicework as a path to healing, embodiment of the Soul and rich empowerment.  Exercises and creative processes will be drawn from Voice Movement Therapy, Body Mind Centering ™, Roy Hart Voicework and other expressive healing art modalities. This is an invaluable training for performers, speakers, singers, therapists and adults interested in embodied vocal presence. Shamanic Singing will be done outdoors in a lovely forest as we commune with the trees and nature beings, listening for their medicine songs.

No vocal experience necessary, just a willingness to explore, play and let your voice guide you!

Christa Ray, MFA, VMT has taught Voicework for 20 years. She is a professionally trained Voice Movement Therapist since 1996 and studied directly with Paul Newham, creator of Voice Movement Therapy in England. She is also a theater artist with a MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University. Additionally, Christa is an energetic sound healer and wellness educator with a private practice in Boulder.  She is dedicated to supporting people in their healing and awakening journey through helping them cultivate safety in their body-minds to allow for the full retrieval and creative expression of their soul.

THIS POPULAR WORKSHOP FILLS EVERY YEAR SO DON’T WAIT TO REGISTER!!

“Christa’s voice coaching/teaching is in a word “magical.”  As a true healer and shaman, she emanates a gentle yet powerful energy…grounded in years of study and experience combined with her own intuitive knowing which is deep and vast. My whole being comes alive in her radiant presence as she holds space for the shadow and pain and, simultaneously, encourages a profound transformation into light and healing. I discovered that my voice could plummet to the depths and then soar to heights I never thought possible, an expression of the wide range of my soul. Now, when I burst into song while washing dishes or walking, singing to the trees, I am reminded of Christa’s teaching. The sound of my voice calms my mind and awakens my heart vibration. Christa models a true authentic woman walking her path. What a blessing you are, Christa!”

WILD Tame WILD Contact Improvisation on the Land with Brad Stoller + Katherine Cook

WILD/Tame/WILD ~ SEPT 18- 20

i-wPzsqFh-LContact Improvisation on the LAND

with Brad Stoller + Katherine Cook

A natural evolution in our dancing that embraces the shifting terrain from comfort to the unknown and back. As we grow as dancers, the world of the known expands and things that were wild become tamed and we seek the next mystery or adventure. Being informed by nature forms us, stretches us beyond our walls and opens us to untapped potential. Returning to the walls of our studio integrates and soothes us from which we can reach out and explore again. Join us for a wild/tame ride as we open the doors of the studio literally and figuratively and go outside with our bodies and outside the box of our dancing.  Discovery is only one step away when we realize we made the doors that separate us from nature.

~ FRI Sept 18  7-9:30pm ~ featuring live performance by instructors
~ SAT Sept 19 10am – 5pm
~ SUN Sept 20 10am – 5pm
Optional Sat Eve Potluck, Campfire + Community Play 🙂

Brad writes about creating this new CI project and workshop:
“Here’s what I’ve been working on lately and have juice for. It’s around seeing our bodies as animal, having these states of flight, fighting and freezing or acting dead, things shutting down. That social engagement is literally a process of mobilization of sound and movement – speech and dance. Poetry or the ART of dance is in the process of shedding or overriding social learned behavior and allowing communication to take place at high speed, high sensory level and in all directions. The poetry of contact is a multi axial and multi volume affair. We deal with negative space as athelets, darting and anticipating the ‘open’ space before it arrives and transforming our bodies to fit anywhere small or large. When does sound become music? Movement become dance? Language become poetry? Wild Balance is based on the fact that when I’m moving with the flow of a partner and everything is happening all at once, I feel totally still inside, the more I allow the wildness, the more I am in balance. So taking this a little further, the wildness is something that appears to the outside viewer, it is not what I’m experiencing. The balance is a result of really NOT freezing into defensive societal norms of interaction.Perhaps we can schedule outside time and daylight ‘free’ time that makes it a spacious workshop. the WILD/BALANCE can be just that wildness and balance of inside/outside – high energy and downtime, male/female – balance like the yin yang symbold not through moderation but through the inantiadromia of fullness calling on the opposite. (A jungian term).”

Brad-Stoller.-Photo-by-Keith-Allan-Sprouse-300x240Brad Stoller has been leading CI workshops and classes since 1983. He studied under the talented male dancers of “Mangrove” a SFbased collective. He has taught in festivals in Europe and the U.S. as well as Africa and teaches CI at the University of Virginia and other colleges around VA. He is a regular host and teacher at the Moab Jam in Utah every spring. He has never wained in his awe of CI since being exposed to it over 35 years ago. He is a master teacher of the Alexander Technique, a black belt in Aikido. and a practitioner of “3 Principles” guiding people to their innate well-being and health.

Katherine Cook WildTame Wild Katherine Cook is a dancer and teacher living in Seattle WA. She facilitates the Seattle Underscore, has worked with artists such as Nancy Stark-Smith, Karen Nelson, Cyrus Khambatta, and has taught and performed at CI festivals around the US. When not dancing, Katherine is writing and thinking about the practice of teaching or exploring the interface between the untamed outside world and the wild inside one hiking around the U.S.  med at CI festivals around the US.
